Songs I’m loving #2

“IT’S NATSCHATS TUESDAY AND ITS ACTUALLY A TUESDAY!”

Remember that series of blogs I started where I would tell you my favourite songs i’m loving right now, new and old? Yeah me neither. Thats because I published the first post over a year ago!!! Jeez how time flies. Anyway here is your update of my favourite songs i’ve been listening to a hella lot recently:
“Work This Body” WALK THE MOON – this is such a dancy upbeat song that you could do some serious interpretive dancing to. It also love the cheeky french lyrics thrown in there.

“Geronimo” SHEPPARD – Catchy af (SAY GERONIMO!)

“You Da One” RIHANNA – Aww come on we all need some love in our lives

“Thirsty” Daya – OMG literally the sassiest song ive heard in so, so long. When you wanna fend off a F*ck Boy and embrase the beauty of single life. Sing this on a girls night and it is garunnteed to go down well with all your friends giving you the “OML YAAASSSS GURRRLLL” look.

“If I believe you” THE 1975 – I had a revelation (AAAAHHHHHH!)

“Castle On The Hill” Ed Sheeran – See I can be up and coming too! This song made me smile from the first time I heard it. Its so nostalgic and im sure anyone can relate to it from their childhood and old friends.

“Crazy Crazy Nights” KISS – Massive Throwback but such a good song. You literally cannot helo but sing alont no matter what age you are!

“Icarus” BASTILLE – You have to sing it passionately so I suggest maybe not listening to it in public. But when your driving in the car would be perfect (just please keep your eyes on the road).

I hope you enjoyed that little update into a big park of my life, music. If you would like to see what else im currently listening to my spotify is: https://open.spotify.com/user/natnats14. I hope to see you all next week and please do give me any suggestions from your personal music faves. Keep Jammin! Xx

Blogmas Day 24: Introducing my favourite being

OMG ITS CHRISTMAS EVE!!!

HOW?!?!

My, the time has flown, It is now the night before Christmas (apart from there is a lot of stirring in my house at the moment).

Today as it’s a very special night I wanted to introduce you to someone very, very special to me…

My Dog, Cookie:

Yeah alright, I can already tell there’s going to be a split between the disappointed (those who thought id actually got a boyfriend LOL) and the pleasantly surprised (the dog lovers). I just thought that as Christmas is a time of love you might want to meet the person…well animal I love. I cannot express how much she means to me but she is my equivalent to a daughter. I treat like the baby I never had (I don’t plan on having for a long, long time – before questions start being asked) and love her to bits. So Im basically just gonna tell you a little bit about her.

She was Born in September 2011 *Cue adorable puppy photo*

(Thats my nan by the way, who is an absolute legend!)

She was bought off some slighty dodgy people who lied about her age (she was only 6 weeks when we got her) and most likely mood. She was meant to be a Cocker Spaniel but I mean…

There are quite a few differences…also the vet called her deformed because she has 2 more nails than she should (p*ss off)!

We named her Cookie (because come on look at her, she is a little biscuit) and she suits the colour pink (for some reason) which is why all her collars are baby pink.

As it is christmas here is her 2 years ago sporting some very festive gear:

She does have some slight mental issues (I wont go in to it) but we love her and I hope you do too. I aim to keep her as happy and healthy as possible and she always is, like she literally smiles at you, which can be a bit unnerving for some:

But come on look at that face, who could say no?

I hope you enjoyed this little look into my love life (sad isn’t it?) and please do remember a dog is for life, not just for Christmas. I also really hope you have enjoyed this years Blogmas, to commemorate the end I uploaded a video to my YouTube Channel (NatsChatsTV) answering some more christmassy questions and now it just leaves me to say. Merry Christmas and I hope you have a magical New Year! Love you all – Natalie

Blogmas Day 18: My Hair Dye Passion

Before I start I would just like to say I am aware that this is going up a day late but that is because christmas is a very busy time of year and I simply had no time to upload last night. I am also aware that this is not a very christmassy themed blog post but it is a real passion of mine and I feel like Blogmas is all about you getting to know me.

In todays blog I will be sharing and talking through some of my favourite hair colour ideas I have found on Pinterest over the years. But first allow me to tell you my hair colour story: I once ombre’d my hair red. Yeah thats it. For someone who is obsessed with coloured hair I have a pretty boring personal history of hair but I am still in a college which doesn’t like you having “un-natural” hair so for now i’ll just have to wait.

So anyway lets begin on our hair journey through the universe of pinterest…

THE OMBRE’S:

Here are the dyed hair styles which are a tad less crazy and vibrant for those that just want a hint of colour or just want to try it out before dying the whole thing. This is great cause it means if you do hate it you can just chop it off instead to going through the whole process of re dying or waiting for it to grow out.

This is so so pretty, and would look amazing especially if you had straight hair like the girl here.

I’ve actually always wanted to ombre my hair blue but of course as i mentioned earlier it aint that natural. This is a weirdly subtle blue though and is quite pastel which is also really pretty.

OMG SO MUCH COLOUR. This is perfect for those who love colour and I also think it looks great with this girls natural hair colour. Just think about how great it would look with loads of different updo’s.

I think this one is absolutely gorgeous! I love the fact that its a subtle lavender and it also goes really well with the woman’s bob shoulder length hair style.

This last one is a very fun and feminine ombre that I feel would probably look better with blonde that brunette and it also quite subtle as only a short amount has been dyed pink.

FULL ON COLOUR:

Pinners that have dyed their whole head cause they know what they want and are owning it! Get your bleach at the ready people.

This year was definitely the year for pastel’s and greys and I feel like this pin clearly represents both. Its a really cute mix of lavender and grey tones which work so well together.

Omg i just love everything about this; the hair, the makeup, the jewelry! So much so in fact I followed her on instagram: Sophiehannahrichardson (and mine’s nats_my_name – in case you were interested!)

What did i say about pastel shades? I love how random this hair colour choice is but it really works and also think it would suit literally any skin shade.

For my last pin I chose a darker shade which is equally as gorgeous. I think this would suit people who have naturally darker hair and think the added flower crown is amazing!

CRAZY COLOURS

The pro hair dyers which have amazing mermaid hair that belongs in a fairytale!

OML! I cannot even begin to explain how much I love these 2 colours together. I also think the woman’s hairstyle is pretty cool too, i think its diagonal!

There are many different names for this type of dying job but lets just say an under colour. I absolutely love this look and if given the opportunity (an money) to do it I wouldn’t hesitate!

To finish is one of my favourites. Who would think that this combination of colours would make something so gorgeous. Literally #goals

I hope you enjoyed this little window into the world of my passions. Merry Blogmas Everyone!

Blogmas Day 11: Pinterest Christmas Outfit Ideas

Today my lovelies I bring to you my favourite Pinterest outfit ideas for the winter/Christmas season. I have complied them into 3 sections; casual, party and pj…I feel like I should’ve used alliteration hang on…parenthetical (googled synonyms). Here are your parenthetical, party and PJ outfits for the season.

Parenthetical: For the everyday

Cute, family friendly outfit, may be a bit boring for some bit I think it’s sweet

The basic outfit everyone wears at Christmas but still manages to look chic on models. I’m sure you’ll be wearing this anyway but it’s always a great staple

This again is another outfit you’ll see around this season but I absolutely loved the jumper and think the colour simply sums up winter and Christmas in one

Party: Christmas parties are coming which mean embarrassing drunkedness and general jolliness

I absolutely love this look, which is why I’m on the hunt for a glittery skirt (if you see one while on your Christmas shop do let me know)

This is another sparkly number (amaxing everyone gets their sequins out at Christmas) and I will definitely be wearing a silver version of this at New Year’s Eve

The sparkly skirts return this time with a black blouse, I love how the constrast each other is well, would look amazing at a Christmas meal

ANOTHER SPARKLY SKIRT! This time paired with the perfect accessories which if course you can change up depending on the event your attending. I especially love the bag!

PJ’s: come on now I could hardly do a winter wardrobe without including the staple outfit choices for most of us when it’s cold outside

Kicking it off is some Victoria Secret pjs (not as sexual as you would imagine) I love these and they are the perfect vintage Christmas pattern

This is probably my favourite Pajama set cause I just love the colour and the little gingerbread man print!

Of course I also had to include some onsies and this one is simply adorable. The picture makes the material look amazingly fluffy that I just want one now!!!

This one is a bit more of a sophisticated onesie (note I said “bit”) I just love the patterns and print so much and think the colours would suit anyone

That concluded my little Pinterest haul. I hope you enjoyed it as I absolutely love Pinterest and am a tiny bit addicted to it so if you wish to follow me my name is: @natschats (be warned I have 6.7k pins). Love you lots, Merry Blogmas one and all

Blogmas day 9: My Christmas (animal) jumpers

imageimageimageimageHello everybody, today I thought I’d share with you all the Christmas jumpers I have this year. I’m afraid none of them were bought this year but I’ll still tell you where they were from so you can try and find them if you wish. Feel free to show me your ones and tell me which of mine are ypur favourite

1)
Robin Jumper from George at Asda
I think this is literally one of the cutest ones I have, and it so so soft! Literally putting this on is like slipping into a fluffy blanket (worst simile ever)

2)
Christmas Penguin from Papaya in Matalan. This is probably my most Christmassy jumper (I know I need some new ones). This is also super fluffy but with the random sequins which add an added crunch!

3)
Pura Moda Dalmation jumper. This is probably my least Christmassy jumper but I feel like it’s perfect for a more formal situation (possibly a Christmas meal?) and the colour goes with pretty much anything

4)
So I lied this is even less Christmassy, but it’s still super cute! For the nerd in all of us (and my favourite coloured one) this is my last Christmassy animal jumper!

I hope you enjoyed today’s post! Happy Blogmas!!!
Xx

SEE! I told you I would see you today, I keep my promises!.. Most of the time.

Anyway, Today I thought I would enlighten you on some of my favourite life quotes. This is dedicated to you if you ever have a bad day or just feel like you need a bit of a boost (I know I certainly do!). So here is a compilation of both song lyrics/movie quotes and just general people’s sayings that I have grown to love:

  • For when you’re confused (unsure of how to act in a certain situation):

“Sometimes you don’t need to walk in another person’s shoes to know how they feel, sometimes the best thing that you can do is sit beside them” – Red Band Society (Another fave TV show which I forgot to add in yesterdays blog post).

” We’re not lost, we’re just finding our own way in the world” – Way in The World by Nina Nesbitt

“This right here is definitely a moment, anything could happen next” – Now is Good

  • For when you feel all warm inside cause that special someone glanced at you:

“You are my getaway, you are my favourite place” – Disconnected by 5 Seconds Of Summer

“There’s a hole in my soul, can you fill it?” – Flaws by Bastille

“Wherever you are is the place I belong” – Ready to Run by One Direction

“You took a Polaroid of us discovered, the rest of the world was black and white, but we were in screaming colour” – Out of the woods by Taylor Swift

“We sure are cute for two ugly people” – Anyone else but you by The Mouldy Peaches

“Don’t need no butterflies when you give me the whole damn zoo” – Starving by Hailee Steinfield

  • When you’re feeling a bit kick ass! (Literally read these every day)

“We’ll be the colour, in all this black and white” – I can feel it by Hey Violet

“Why should we care for what they’re selling us anyway?” – Listen to the man by George Ezra

“This deadbeat town’s only here just to keep us down” – She looks so perfect by 5 Seconds Of Summer

“Teenage Dreams in a Teenage Circus” – We are Golden by MIKA

“Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy” – Be Young… by The Tams

“Lets pray we stay young, stay made of lightening” – Girl Almighty by One Direction

“We’re gonna rattle this ghost town” – Anna Sun by Walk The Moon

“According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly. It’s wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bee’s don’t care what humans think is impossible” – The Intro to Bee Movie

  • And to finish off, what would this quote blog post be without the writer’s favourite quote to end:

“I have often thought that the most hopeful people in the world are the young and the drunk. The first because they have little experience of failure and the second because they have succeeded in drowning theirs!” – Thomas Aquinas (According to Sage Train)

I hope you enjoyed them! See you tomorrow and Happy Blogmas!

Blogmas Day 5: My Top TV Shows

I am a Magpie,

I just realised today that a fellow blogger friend of mine is doing Blogmas! And literally I am stealing it from her…I am so sorry A! I have no idea why I never thought of it before? If you’ve read some of my other post’s you’ll notice that I was toying with the idea of Vlogmas but knew I wouldnt have anything to actually film…

I’ve had this blog for over 2 years now and eventhough I know I havent been great at updating you guys I feel like it a great way to document my life. So from this day till christmas day I PLEDGE:

I will upload a blog post every single day!

So this if the first post (even if it is 5 days late)

My Top TV Show Picks:

As it’s the festive season you may find yourself being more and more tempted to instead of going out and socialising, simply staying in and binge watching miscellaneous TV shows (especially the christmas specials) here is a list a have compiled for those of you who are a little stuck on what to watch this holiday season.

  • F.R.I.E.N.D.S – this will forever be a favourite of mine. My eldest brother first got me into it as he was obsessed and has the full box set. Its all about a group of Friends really (clues in the name) who live in New York and get into some hilarious and often very relate able situations. You will fall in love with the characters and are assured to laugh at some point in each episode.
  • SUBURGATORY – This amazing show is all about a teen girl who moved out of her beloved city to the suburbs. You follow her as she leads the life of a city girl in a suburb town. She goes to a new school, and tackles love, freindships and family. But dont be confused this is not your typical main girl character…like seriously she’s pretty kick ass!
  • GLEE – an absolute classic! If you love singing and dancing then you’ll love this show. Its all about a singing group in a high school and all the members juggling growing up whilst trying to win their next competition.
  • SKINS – This may be a little less tame (drugs/alcohol/sex included) but I think it’s fantastic for those of you aged 16 – 18 as you may be experiencing the same types of things. The series is all about a group of friends going through their college years in the UK (that’s 16-18 year old’s fyi) and although I wouldn’t recommend you copying a lot of their actions its a great programme and you find yourself getting attached to characters you would never dream of talking too in real life.
  • MISFITS – A slightly more tamer version of SKINS but with the added twist of…superpowers…yeah I know sounds lame. But seriously after I finished Skins there was a whole in my life I never thought I wouldn’t fill but then I was recommended this and OMG. Its seriously addictive! (Nathan = Bae [if you know, you know]).
  • MIRANDA – Miranda Heart will forever be my favourite comedian and I feel like around the Christmas season you need a good chuckle to warm up. There is a serious overdose of British comedy where you follow a woman and her friends and family as she tries to get through life. This is definitely my favourite out of all these to watch at Christmas as it is very family friendly so you can invite your whole clan round to join you in hysterics.

I am aware that all of these are pretty old and im pretty sure none of them are being created anymore but that means you can finish the whole series’ without panicking about cliffhanger’s.

I hope you enjoyed these and I shall see you tomorrow!

HAPPY BLOGMAS!

How To Survive: Black Friday

Now, I may live in the UK, so our Black Friday’s are not as extreme as some places (ahem America) but us Brits do like to shop, we just do it in a much safer manner…normally. But on Black Friday it seems that our stereotypical calm and collected behaviour goes out the window. So with that in mind, this is your guide on how to make it through…

If you’ve been living under a rock you may not have noticed that the Black Friday Deals have already started, which is odd as Friday is tomorrow, but I guess the shops think that this way they can spread out the chaos instead of packing it all in one day (messy).

But to start off my Help Guide, I should really explain what this mystical day entails…

According to Wikipedia “Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States (the fourth Thursday of November). Since 1932, it has been regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in the U.S., and most major retailers open very early (and more recently during overnight hours) and offer promotional sales”

So yeah… now ya know,

This is for those of you that dont want anything to do with Black Friday:

STAY AWAY!!! My only advice for you people is to steer clear of any shopping that day (come on its just one day) and I wouldnt make any plans to go out cause you just know the roads will be jammed with holiday shoppers. So just use it as an excuse to stay in Friday night (we all knew you were anyway).

For those who want to shop still but dont want any human contact what so ever (#same)

Here are my top websites to shop on Friday:
  • Superdrug – daily deals until Tuesday (upto 60% off) as well as loads of other deals/bundles and free stuff!!!
  • ASOS – 20% off EVERYTHING with the code: GOGOGO and free worldwide delivery!
  • Debenhams – No VAT on anything and upto 50% on clothing plus loads of other dealerino’s!
  • Amazon – SO.MANY.DEALS!
  • John Lewis – arent even revealing their deals till tomorrow (so you know they’re gonna be sweeeeet)
  • Forever 21 – They’ve been very hush hush about this but it turns out that on top of their already amazing sales, they’ve added another 30% off!!!
  • H&M – 50% off!
  • New Look – Up to 50% off (but just go online anyway just to see their amazing website banner XD)
  • Top Shop – Up to 50 % off … Im sensing a trend here…but they have free shipping too so…
And Im guessing all your other favourites will have, oh i dunno… up to 50% off?

For those braving the storm:

Good Luck!
JK…
There are gonna be some amazing deals on the highstreet and in shopping centres so you’re sure to save a lot of money but my tips for you are:
  • Make sure you actually want to buy the item, (your not just buying yourself a TV cause it 80% off when you already have a bigger and better one at home)
  • Dont get Stressy, if you know you hate shopping, large crowds or disorder then dont chance it and if you can feel yourself getting uncomfortable, LEAVE! There will be thousands of sales throughout the years so you’re not gonna miss out oo much
  • Remember to eat and drink (seriously of you faint infront of a 90% off electronics deal there is a good chance you will be trampled)
I hope this helped and whatever you’re planning to do tomorrow I hope you have a great time. Stay safe everyone and good luck!
XX
P.s. Remember to tell me all your SWEET DEALS!
P.p.s. Sorry if your working tomorrow – sending even more luck!
Oh and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
