Being Single.

Holla! Happy NatsChatsTuesday Peeps! Hope the last two weeks have treated you well. I’m in an oddly good mood right now and so I though I would touch on fairly sensitive subject. This topic either boosts my confidence and makes me feel like a cool, crazy, independent woman who “don’t belong to no city, don’t belong to no man” and other times i’m crying because i’ll be forever alone and no one wants me. There is literally no in between. But why I’m still in the first category I though Id reach out to my fellow Pringles and show you it ain’t all bad. Yes, i’m going to be talking about Being Single.

I know all those empowering quotes you find on pinterest mostly just wanna make you throw up so my first rule is: DONT RELY ON WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY TO CHEER YOURSELF UP! This applys to all aspects of self confidence.

The next thing is so, so important. I imagine whilst scrolling through Instagram you’ve seen the phrase “whats a queen without her king”. the thing I think all of you need to realise is that a queen without a king is still a queen. In modern times a woman can rule the world without anyone “by her side”. She’ll be doing the same amount of work without any help from a man (or woman). So if you are single you’re just proving to the world that you dont need anyone, and can live perfectly well on your own (btw thats what your are doing right now – if your reading this you are living).

Now the question lots of people will be wanting to avoid once you realise the single life isnt actually bad atall is when people ask “why are you single?”. When people say this just laugh or walk away. You dont ask them why their in a relationship so they must be making some joke that wasnt as funny as they thought. One of my favourite quotes is:

Because its so much better to live your life solo, than settle down!

And my favourite point to share with you, is that the single life lets you spend time with the most amazing, gorgeous person in the round, yourself. This person should be your number one priority as your stuck with them for all eternity. So please my peeps love yourself as much as i do, you are so worth everything you want, and if it dosent work out, it clearly wasn’t worth you! I LOVE YOU!XX

: new Years Resolutions and Newness

Welcome Back Everyone! I hope you all had wonderful Christmases and New Years! I know I’ve taken a bit of the break since Blogmas but I just haven’t really had the time with all the other work and such I’ve been doing.

To start of this post I’ll just keep you up to date with what I’ve been doing since we last spoke:

  •  My Christmas was pretty good but I feel like it all went way too quickly. Plus working over Christmas kinda bought down my festivities a bit but oh well. I got loads of lovely presents which may not have been particular luxurious of expensive but were just perfect fir me really as I didn’t really ask for anything so just received a few bits an bobs including some adorably little desk lights. I may do another (very belated, I know) blog post on some favourite Xmas prezzies i received if you would like that.
  • My contract ended with my job and (because they’re pretty stupid and overstaffed at Christmas) they didn’t keep anyone on But oh well, plenty more jobs I can try.
  • I had an amazing NYE party which even included a cheeky sleepover that night. In the morning our hung over selves watch The Princess and The Frog because we woke up at about 6/7 am. Yeah very little sleep was experienced that night.
  • I made and uploaded to YouTube a “My 2016” video showing all the highlights in chronological order.
  • I have done a lot of January Sales shopping and this past Saturday I bought 2 dresses from New Look (one of which was £1!)
  • I have had to do a lot more revision for my exams and am currently taking a few mock exams.

Next off I’ll tell you my new Years resolutions for this year (as some of you may know I did pretty well in my resolutions last year so lets see how this one goes):

  • This year I only have one resolution. To do more! I know that I did in fact get up to quite a lot last year but I felt like I spent most of my time sitting around doing nothing. I want to change this so I’ve decided to try and say YES more. This resolution has already come into play as I have agreed to go out to places more and I have already found that when you go out on a Friday (after work or school or whatever it is you do) it makes your weekend last a whole lot longer! Like I’ve found that if I do something on a Friday night the next day I assume its Sunday when I have a whole other day more to go before its back to work on Monday. Since the beginning of the year I have also decided to re start a diary/journal type thing. I am writing in it every few days and although I have never been able to stick to one before I hope I can change it around this year!

Now for the Newness:

I was quite proud of myself for my Blogmas (even though I did mess up a few times) and I do really love Blogging and Vloging and so I have made the courageous decision to upload more. So may I introduce to you… NATSCHATS TUESDAYS! From this day forward I will upload a Blog post every week on a Tuesday (at roughly 5pm GMT – 9 am PST). I know this doesn’t seem like an amazing breakthrough or anything but at least this way I’ll be a bit more organised and have something to aim for. I hope that you will all join me on my weekly entries as I really do appreciate every single person that reads this. Though we may be few, we are mighty. Or we mighty few…im sure that some kind of famous quote. I will warn you now, I am a very reliable person in real life but I have a horrific memory (believe me I take psychology) but that is no excuse as what we have here on NatsChatsTV is a family and of course FAMILY COMES FIRST so I am giving you full permission to nag me and shout abuse at me if I neglect you and/or forget a blog post. Literally if anyone Tweets me or comments on my Instagram or even slides into my DMs and mentions my blog post for this week I will get straight back on it I promise!

Blogmas Day 23: Memory Log Tip

Omg it’s Christmas Eve Eve already! How? It seems like only the other day we started Blogmas and now we’re nearly at the end. You know what, even though I did find it annoying having to come up with a new idea to blog about each day and having to actually get off my lazy ass to write something, I think I am actually going to miss you. I know it’ll only be a few days before I start blogging again (most probably in the new year) but just think that’s NEXT YEAR!!!

Anyway for today’s blog post I wanted to give you a little tip which will help to make your life seem that little bit better. This is a great idea for when your feeling down or hopeless as every time I read mine it completely boosts my mood (which can seem like an impossibility at times). It’s also incredibly simple as all it requires is a pen and paper (or ya know the notepad of your phone).

I call it my “moments to remember” page but you can come up with a much more personal or creative name if you see fit. Basically all you do is bulletpoint little moments that made you smile. This could be anything from seeing an act of kindness to experiencing a favourite activity. As some of you may still be a bit confused I have listed some of mine below, I don’t have many but that’s fine as the list will grow as you get through life which is what makes it so magical:

  •  How excited the male Stuard was when you got off the plane in Hollywood (2015) and he said “that’s where he (Tom Hiddleston) sat” – October 26th 2015
  •  My A Level psychology teacher asking to see my dinosaur socks on Breast Cancer Awareness Day (we had to dress pink), I talked about wearing them the day before, so I had to take my boot off in the middle of a lesson – October 21st 2016
  • Putting my stocking on Christmas Eve eve 2016 and checking inside (for some reason?!?) and finding a “simple pleasures” lip balm in there – December 23rd 2016

For those of you able to read dates you will discover that, that last one was made just today about 30 mins ago which is what inspired this post. These moments may not mean anything to you and you may be wondering what makes them so special. But that doesn’t matter. In your list you are going to be the only person reading them. This is fantastic as it shows that you alone have control over your mood and your life which may just give you enough confidence to accomplish what you need to that day.

I hope this little tip in some way helps you. And if it does LET ME KNOW. You know how much I love hearing your views (no matter how mad you may think they are).

Blogmas Day 21: New Years Resolution Reflection

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you will know that at the beginning of the WA I made a blog post titled: “Happy New Year my darling” where I stated 3 New Years resolutions I made for the year 2016. And today I looked back on it and realised that I actually did pretty damn well.

My first resolution was to “get that summer bod” which okay was a huge flop. This year I left school and so no longer had to do any type of fitness or sport in school. So basically have done nothing all year and am the most unhealthy I have ever been. So yeah that is definitely gonna be a resolution to make next year aswell. I’m not even gonna attempt to try and get fit by the end of the year because 1) I have 10 days and 2) it’s Christmas so I plan to eat and be lazy along with most other people. I did get a exercise bike this year though so do have the possibility of getting fit. Also I have a new found love for Yoga and meditation which although won’t get you ripped af, will help you tone and get your mental health in shape.

My second New Years Resolution was to get a job and I can safely say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! It may be a Christmas temp job which will more that likely end in January but I still got one. And I just realised that I have had 2 Jobs prior to this as well as a handful of interviews which will hopefully boost my confidence for job searches in the future. For those interested I worked in a advertising agency for Tribute acts early in the year and a vintage online clothing line in the summer and now work at a shop which I will not name because I don’t want them to fire me.

My last resolution for the year that’s passed was to save up some money and buy a camera. This one is by far the best accomplished one. Through the first half of the year I saved up all by own money and then went out and bought myself a half decent camera which I did Infact take to both Tenerife and Thailand (which you may know if you are subscribed to my YouTube Channel – NatsChatsTV. It has proven very useful and great for taking photos. I have recently noticed though that there is an odd hollow sound in the background of filming which you only hear when filming something quiet (not a concert though) so have no idea what that is all about. But yes this year a kicked off my YouTube channel which although had not proven to be overly popular, is great fun and something I hope to carry on.

Looking back at the resolutions I made scares me a little bit cause it shows how fast time has flies. This has been a ridiculously busy year for me and I feel like I have never grown up more in a short amount of time in my life. For example if you looked at the person I was at the beginning of the summer and the person I am now you would never think they had met, let alone were the same person. I have definetly grown up a lot and think that I am a mostly more happy person.

Blogmas Day 20: Little Things Mean alot

Today I would like to talk to you about the little things. They really do mean a lot. For example when on the off chance one of you lovely people comments on my blog I cannot express the huge amount of fulfilment and gratefulness that flows through me. I am sent an email whenever I get a like or comment or new follower and let me tell you, when I do receive that email it is the highlight of my day. I don’t think most people realise how much everyone else means to them. For example I sometimes struggle to tell others (my friends and family) how thankful I am when they do the smallest things. This is more focussed on friends I feel. Your friends have chosen to stay with you, your family it has no choice. Isn’t that amazing? The fact there are people out there that chose you to enjoy themselves with instead of anyone else. I think that’s the most precious thing in the human world. The fact that unknowingly, we have the capability of completely changing another’s perspective, mood and aim. For a less uplifting example; if a person was walking along the street and you have them a compliment, said hello, offered spare change, or just simply smiled. Think of how much of an impact that would make on their day. You have no idea where there were going, could be on their way to a boring day at work and you made it a little less boring. Could’ve been on their way to a very important meeting and you relaxed them…
Could’ve been on their way to end their own life, and you made them think against it instead.
Most of you reading this are probably thinking I’m mental which I hate to tell you, also backs up my point. No matter what your thinking, I have intact impacted your day in some way. I hope this will be for the better. This little blog post has made you, my dear reader, think.
Even if that was just for a little while.
But none the less, I would like to thank you for doing so.
You see what this post is trying to say is that the little things do matter. But more specifically, thinking matters. I know that this post won’t have a major global impact and for example make world peace. But that’s not what I want, today atleast. I just wanted to remind you to think about what your doing. No, not with you lives, I don’t want to give all of you existential crisis’. Just while your talking to your friends or out Christmas shopping just think about what you do before you do something. Can you imagine if everyone did that? I know it’s a big ask because it has such big connotations.

A quote I heard the other day while watching Red Band Society had really haunted my thoughts. I’m pretty sure it featured in my other post about fave quotes: “Sometimes you don’t need to walk in another persons shoes to know how they feel, some times the best thing that you can do is sit beside them”. I don’t think I really understood this fully until now. I believe it’s saying that you don’t and won’t always have an answer to someone’s question. But there’s nothing wrong with that. As long as you’re there to listen to what they have to say that’s all that matters. Cause let me tell you, there is nothing more completely frustrating then not being able to share your thought, feeling or opinions. And it is so, so unhealthy to do so. Now reader I would like you to make me one single promise. If you have a strong emotion towards or about something. Never under any circumstances keep it inside you. You must share it. This could be you simply texting your best friend or screaming into a pillow (or someone’s face is they diserve it). Because I promise that once you do so another emotion will be taken off you’re shoulders also…worry. I hate worry with a passion. And as a fellow worrier myself I cannot express how good it feels when you realise what you were worrying about was absolutely nothing. A simple glitch in the system of your mind. Ah sweet relief, how I love you so.

I’m sorry if this style of blog post is not your cup of tea, I just felt like a change. And I’m not going to appologise for the rambles because that would be completely juxtaposing my whole point of sharing your emotion. Getting real here I do appreciate all those who read this blog because it means Im also impacting people’s lives which is just amazing. Thank you. I promise I will have a much more relaxed post tomorrow. I’ve been through a lot of emotions today for some reason and felt like I wanted to get creative with my words on my blog. Oh I do love a ramble.

Favourite Snacks: September 2016

So I went shopping today and bought myself some Cookie Dough bites from the pound shop on a whim and they turned out to be amazing!!! So yeah here is a list of my top 4 fave snacks just to make you feel hungry

💠 “DORITOS” All the flavours of gorgeous crisps!!!

All these Snacks are available in the uk but if you are from another country I’m afraid you might have a bit more trouble finding them!

Smoothie Hack

Here’s a snazzy little hack for someone running late in the morning or for a simple, quick, tasty AND healthy snack. Believe me you do not need to feel guilty for drinking these bad boys!

All you need to do is pe-mix the smoothies and then freeze them in cupcake cases until you need them! As im feeling extra generous here are my top 3 smoothie recipes:

  • Mango & Passionfruit Smoothie

400g mango, 250g fat-free mango yogurt, 250ml skimmed milk, one limes juice, 4 passion fruits (halved)

  • Cranberry & Raspberry

200ml cranberry juice, 175g strawberries, 100ml milk, 200ml natural yogurt, 1 tbsp caster sugar (or plus for those sweet tooths among us

  • Breakfast Smoothie

1 small (ripe banana), 140g berries (of your choice), apple juice or water (your choice again), and maybe a dribble of honey to serve
